What! Could you not watch with Me one hour? Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation.
Matt 26:40
Jesus’ astonishment at His three disciples is something we should take note of. We are expected, like these three disciples, to be vigilant in this late hour, watching and praying for the Lord’s return. To that end, there will be a time of focused worship and intercession on Tuesday evenings.
This model of prayer is based on the description of the worship of Jesus in Revelation 5:8. John sees that “the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.” In this manner, we come before God with the music of our worship mingled with our sweet-smelling prayers. It is in a spirit of adoration that we come before the throne room to fall at His feet.
All are welcome to come and worship the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the Creation of God.
